Pose goes back to T-pose in render - Animation and Rigging

Whenever I pose my character and click on render, it doesn’t render the character in the pose I want, but the T-pose instead. This is the posed character. Whenever I click on “Armature” it goes back to the original pose in which I modeled the character (it’s more like an A pose), and when I click back on “Pose” the character is back on T-pose. I suppose I have to apply the pose somehow, but honestly I spent too much time trying to do something that seems so simple.
