Shell Shock
East London’s Beton Brut returns to Coyote Records for the first time in two years with ‘Shell Shock’ – two tracks of mechanised, concrete-plated club heat. Reimagining grime within fraught, industrial frameworks, Brut’s music is both stark and highly-technical, capturing the cold, inner-city pressure of his home city through a complex web of sound and movement. Following on from 2021’s ‘Nervous Network’, ‘Shell Shock’ builds on the fizzing grime hydraulics and synapse-zapping power of his debut, with both ‘Shell Shock’ and B-side ‘Trenches’ cut in raw, DJ tool style.
