Doctor Otto Octavius was a respected atomic researcher until an accident left his experimental mechanical arms, originally just for manipulating radioactive materials from a safe distance, bonded to his brain. He may now be able to control said arms effortlessly with his mind, but Otto has also suffered significant brain damage, fully transforming him into Doctor Octopus!
