GM D Gukesh beat GM Nino Batsiashvili (GEO) in the third round of 1st Menorca Open 2022. His live rating is now 2651.4. Thus, it makes him the seventh Indian to be in the World Top 100 rankings in live ratings. According to chessmetrics.com, Vishy Anand first broke into the World Top 100 at the age of 17 years in September 1987. Gukesh became the youngest Indian to break into World Top 100 in the live ratings at the age of 15 years. Ten players are in the lead 3.0/3 including six Indians. They are - Adhiban, Gukesh, Arjun Erigaisi, Sethuraman, Raunak Sadhwani and Aryan Chopra. Round 4 starts today at 5 p.m. local time (8:30 p.m. IST).
