The twisted ribbons represent strings of amino acids. The green and blue ribbons are catalytic subunits, and the purple and gold ribbons are regulatory subunits. The light blue lines represent phosphonoacetamide, the orange lines represent malonate, and the white spheres represent zinc. The image was generated by Dr. Manuel C.
